Harld Seleman joined Vancity Investment Management’s Equities team in April 2025. Prior to VCIM, he completed five capital markets internships spanning private debt, M&A, principal equity, fund investments, and public equities.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Victoria, where he was one of eight students selected to manage the university’s long-only public equity and fixed-income portfolio, and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
During his studies and internships, Harld observed how public equities can behave in statistically improbable ways and often diverge from academic theory, an insight that ultimately persuaded him to pursue a career in equities, where he is continuously challenged to learn, refine his thinking, and improve as an investor. Harld also enjoys reading and playing sports.
